Our architecture firm, Estudio de Arquitectura Torres y Asociados S.L.P, was founded by the Architect Raúl Torres in 2006 and nowadays possesses more than 30 awards and recognitions in architecture.
Raúl Torres is an architect specializing in large-scale, singular projects, as well as in other projects of commercial and residential nature, both public and private, making national and international projects and proposals (Holland, Algeria, Sudan, South Africa, Qatar, etc.)
His training comes from the most direct experience at the construction site, also from a Doctorate in the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Degree in the Polytechnic University of Alicante and PhD in the Catholic University of Murcia, as well as international training in the Philadelphia University.
His work consists of volumes and light, generating an architecture of great functionality and high energy efficiency with aesthetic and construction quality, creating a healthy architecture through the research of the specific environmental factors, views, sun exposure and winds.
He has been an invited speaker at several universities and symposiums, where he has presented his works. He has been interviewed and has been published by important mass media and, as a judicial expert, has successfully solved large-sized building pathologies of urgency ( Belonging to 0 – Group, leading team in the direction of the urgent constructive works and damage assessments after Lorca earthquake, urgent stabilizing assistance in Beniaján and Murcia, etc.).
Our Architecture Studio is comprised of a team of architects, engineers and draftsmen who combine the youth of a state-of-the-art design, with more than 25 years of experience.
We offer services that range from a single-family home project to big and medium-sized residential buildings, hotels, interior design, landscaping as well as other related to paperwork and site construction management.
Our clientes are varied, and range from private individual of single-family homes, through public clients, to big developers and investors of national and international nature.

WE CREATE HEALTH
As experts in Energy Efficiency and Architectural Health, we research and assign the most inexpensive solution in each case from the beginning, analyzing with maps, software and the most innovative devices, the determinants of each plot and project. As an example we;
Design the building response to sunlight, through the study of the specific solar chart. In this way, we leverage the Winter sun and the shades in Summer, saving energy and avoiding the emission of greenhouse gases up until 28%, generating Passive House constructions.
Analyze the replacement and natural movement of the indoor air with the help of the plot's wind map. Thanks to this, we will be able to dispose a series of openings in the building, metallic chimneys and areas with more height, creating, where needed, natural airflows for air replacement (Venturi Effect), refreshing, filtering and cleaning of indoor air.
Control the building's hygrometry, designing efficient air-conditioning systems which keep air quality and an optimal relation between indoor air and humidity inside the building.
Propose setting up systems that, through clean and alternative energies, get to lower the overall energy consumption with an optimal amortization time. Such as wind and sun energy that, with wind turbines and solar panels in the roof, attain electricity and hot water for self-supply.
Control the indoor air quality (pollution filtering, carcinogens from the building materials and the environment, etc.), designing green areas and clean air-conditioning and filtering systems. Analyze the possible electromagnetic pollution (detecting distortions under the plot, nearby buried or aerial wires, generators installed in the home) and provide specific solutions to each problem(electro irritability, sleeping problems, anxiety, carcinogenic environments), detecting them with devices of great precision and details planning, specific materials which create electromagnetic screens, etc.
In highly-trafficked buildings, through sociometry, locate the different spaces, organizing the flows of circulation, rest areas and the placement of each element, so that the architecture and its functioning become as efficient as possible.
Work from the aesthetic functionality and the spatial proportion, in order to generate attractive and state-of-the-art designs, which, at the same time, are affordable and cost-effective. This set our architecture apart, enabling us to produce buildings with more value than cost.
QUALITY AND COSTS
In order to generate an architecture of high quality, durability and to avoid deviations regarding the expected cost of the construction, it is very important the quality of the elaborated project, its level of accuracy, details, simplicity, construction clarity, etc. For this purpose, we have worked with BIM-ALLPLAN technology for more than 13 years. This technology allows for studying and analyzing the project in three-dimensional environments, building in the space an identical model to the future building and allocating features and measurements to each constructive element, resulting in projects and general measurements of great quality and precision.
Our studio is organized with the system IPD/Integrated Project Delivery, this allows us to review the project constantly with the validation phases, through all the participants and professionals, avoiding errors, budget deviations and inaccuracies. There is not such a thing as the perfect project, but we make good projects regarding quality and detail.
From the first day, we count with the client. He will be in all the professional meetings, being directly advised with visits of the installation technicians of each subject. For this, with enough time, we will ask the client for all the necessary and important reports such as geotechnical and topographic studies, with the aim of avoiding extra construction costs, as well as modification of estimations, time and plans.
Thanks to our specialist lawyer in building and for free, we will provide the client with a contract draft to get him the most comprehensive advice when hiring the construction works. With this we avoid failure at payments, civil responsibility problems, costs overrun, suspiciously low offers (“baja temeraria”), losing the property, etc. Our overriding interest is that the building works are finished on time, under the expected cost and with the maximum quality.
